Social Volunteering Fair 2026

Are you a non-profit organization active in the social, family, therapeutic, or intercultural living-together sector? Are you looking for volunteers for your long-term missions? Then the Social Volunteering Fair will be the ideal opportunity to present your missions, meet engaged citizens, and perhaps find your future volunteers!

The Ministry of Family Affairs, Solidarity, Living Together and Reception of Refugees is pleased to announce the organisation of the 2026 Social Volunteering Fair on 26 September 2026.

The aim is to facilitate connections between organisations seeking volunteers and individuals wishing to engage in volunteer work, while raising public awareness of the diversity and importance of sustainable volunteer activities.

How to be selected?

As the number of stands is limited, the Ministry reserves the right to select applicants based on the following criteria :

• Being a non-profit organisation ;
• Being active in the social, family, and therapeutic fields or in the intercultural living together sector ;
• Your organisation is registered on benevolat.lu (If not yet registered, you can do so via this link: Agence du Bénévolat Luxembourg – Registration) ;
• Presenting 1 to 3 concrete missions (existing or new) for which your organisation will be seeking volunteers during the Fair. These missions must be sustainable*. Low‑threshold sustainable missions* are an additional asset (see the definition in the box) ;
• Agreeing to publish those missions on benevolat.lu before the Fair (assistance in doing so is provided by the Agence du Bénévolat if needed) ;

To ensure the representation of the diversity of volunteer work, the selection will be made in a balanced way across the different social fields. Selected organisations will be contacted by email during the second quarter of 2026.
