Winter Action
The Winter Action ("Wanteraktioun") is a humanitarian action by the Government that has been continually implemented every winter since 2001. Its aim is to prevent homeless people from succumbing to hypothermia during periods of very cold weather.
The WAK aims to provide temporary accommodation, meals, access to health facilities and services such as on-call nurses to meet the primary needs of its target population.
Since 1 January 2021, the management of the Winter Action has been entrusted to Dräieck a.s.b.l, which brings together the three partners HUT a.s.b.l., the Luxembourg Red Cross and Inter-Actions.
