SIMPA, the National Information and Mediation Service in the field of services for the elderly
SIMPA, the National Information and Mediation Service in the field of services for the elderly, serves as a contact point for residents of elderly care facilities, as well as for all users of elderly services accredited by the Ministry Ministry of Family Affairs, Solidarity, Living Together and Reception of Refugees, their family members, and managing organizations.
In elderly services (such as residential facilities, assisted living, day centers, home care and assistance, meals on wheels, tele-alarm systems, senior activities, or the Aktiv Plus Club), many individuals interact. Disagreements between elderly persons, their family members, and managers can arise, jeopardizing harmony and collaboration. The Law of August 23, 2023, on the quality of services for the elderly, established SIMPA with the mission to foster communication among all stakeholders. SIMPA provides information and advice to help prevent conflicts. In mediation processes, mutually satisfactory solutions can also be achieved.
Information and Advice on Elderly Services
For any questions or concerns regarding elderly services—residential facilities, assisted living, day centers, home care and assistance, meals on wheels, tele-alarm systems, senior activities, or the Aktiv Plus Club—SIMPA is at your service.
Mediation
It is not always possible to resolve a disagreement through direct conversation between the elderly person, their family members, and the manager. Mediation in the field of elderly services can assist in finding solutions that work for everyone. Our mission is to promote open and constructive dialogue to ensure the quality of life of elderly individuals and to facilitate better collaboration for managers.
